Then they can add on to it... Anyone can add or edit a wiki. It'd be on-going.
Exactly. It doesn't necessarily all have to be done at once, and I think there would be enough interested parties on the boards to get it looking good.
Anyway, I managed to get it up, but haven't done anything. It's at shl.wikia.com if anyone would like to head over and work on it a little.
Edited the SHL section just as a quick rundown of what the league is overall. Will add more indepth editing to it later on to help out. Btw anyone who has the idea of fucking things up by publishing stupid shit... It does track your IP address so it can be traced back to you
Thank you to My boys @Merica and @Ragnar for the lovely sigs!
Why not set up a point task for everyone to create a Wikipedia entry for their own player? It would have to be unbiased, and could possibly be edited to remove any bias that slips in.

That would work, but we just have to create an infobox template first.

:o
Might be a nice way for the new players to quickly learn the history of the league. I know I would have liked it when I joined ^

That's an awesome idea, but how about changing it a bit and having a PT where you have to create a Wikipedia entry for ANOTHER player ?

Yes, but a history you could make in this forum too. No need for an extra wiki
A wiki is different though. Going through links to threads all over the place is a hassle, while a wiki is very user friendly And it wouldn't take any activity away from the actual site as there wouldn't really be much interaction on the wiki. Also I agree that it would be great for new users, and recruiting. I'm signed up and ready to help if you need any!

Thanks for the offer. It was nice having you minding the nets for the Knights last season B)
Well I had it up Thursday and I've gotten the SHL team pages done but with just minor amounts of information on them. If anyone wants to help out, go right ahead. The address is http://shl.wikia.com/wiki/SHL_Wiki. There's some graphics that are needed as well (some logos, including all of the NWJHL).
