Some quick hits today:
-Hamilton Steelhawks defenseman Mike Ochocinco is set to move on his career yet again, as the team looks to trade him. While Hamilton is not necessarily looking to re-build, they are looking to bring in more youth as they try to turn around the team.
-Steelhawks superstar Roberto Martucci is planning to trick the whole league into the thinking he will leave, only to re-sign in Hamilton.
-There will be a mass exodus from Calgary this off-season as Laraque Obama tries to re-gain his footing in the SHL and Trevor Smith looks to try on a new jersey. Obama is currently connected to Hamilton, Toronto, and Edmonton. Smith may hop over to Las Vegas.
-The Jets will not re-sign defenseman Dominic Turcotte this year as they look to try and replace their aging players with draftees, namely Prince George defender Willie Weber, who they may select second overall.
-In restricted free agency, Tobias Funke is expected to return to Los Angeles, but Calgary winger Jamie Rose is likely to try and find a deal elsewhere. However, if both Obama and Smith do leave the team, look for the team to match any offer sheet presented to them.
