Rikki Petrov Scouting (2x Draft Media)
#1

Hey everyone! Lots of scouting messages have come and gone, and I think I answered them all but if not, I am sorry, I do not regularly check forums other than on my phone and I don't really message or anything, or usually do any forum stuff from mobile! However, I wanted to give a one last chance sort of scouting interview per say so someone can know that yes, I am alive, and that I would be a good pick for their organization.

1. Re-create

I have recreated a long with a lot of sim league friends to create the Petrov brothers after a pretty successful career with my first player in goalie, Johannes Leitner who played most of his career in New England and apologies to the Tampa Bay Barracuda, but I consider Leitner being only a member of the Wolfpack and that last season not even counting, especially since the trade involving myself from Tampa to Edmonton was what got their former GM fired also. Not good times. Anyways, I did manage to get over 1,000 TPE with Leitner and that was despite taking a few seasons off because I was busy and unmotivated. Leitner was a top goalie in the league twice, winning the MVP once and the McBride twice, once in the STHS era and once in the FHM era, so it was hard to be grindy with TPE when I already was on top of the world. I put out articles saying Leitner was the best and that New England trading me away was a big mistake, it was, but I apologized and made up with New England and their management and everything is good there. New England was always my home and being born and raised in real life in Massachusetts and being a Bruins fan, it always felt like a very natural fit. I had 200 career wins with the Wolfpack and made it through a large rebuild to being one of the better teams in the league, I will always appreciate my time there.

Anyways, that was my past player and situation and yes, I am sure the took a few seasons off and unmotivated comments probably won't be met with the greatest reception but hey, I had to throw it out there. I was still able to put together a nice SHL career which is not always easy to do and I did manage around 1,100 TPE while taking seasons off and if I did not recreate in the Petrov year, Leitner could have gone a few more seasons but after a last season that was just awful, it was time to go. I have motivation again to be good, something that came initially when Leitner was traded but now it gets focused into a new player. The motivations of being labeled inactive and such along with the fact that I need to keep pace with all the Petrovs means I have dual motivation to at least be somewhat good. I can guarantee that I will get to a thousand at least again, barring any unforeseen circumstance of course, I mean, if I die or something, then I probably won't earn anymore, though I probably could still vote for a Democrat in the election! Just kidding...I think. I have motivation to be good again, I know in the end I will not be the top earner but in a deep class, I expect to be a solid value at least.

2. You'd probably get a 1,000 TPE Center at the least

I mean, that is pretty good right? Speaking of the motivation before and about my first player and that I was able to have a career where I got over one thousand TPE before, you should expect at least that again, and again, barring any unfortunate circumstance. Center, I feel, is a pretty important position in the game of hockey and Rikki plans to be a top line center in the league and hopefully for a cup team. I say probably in the title of this section only because I don't know what will shake out in careers. Being traded or having a team go in the wrong direction can always change things, so it is just probably for that, but I will get to at least the 1,000 mark and hopefully more in the 1,500 to 2,000 range.

3. You'd get an all-around center that can be a glue guy

I am different when I make my sim league players. I don't usually have a desire to be one of the best players in a league, I would rather be a valuable member to a team that helps them win and can be a good voice in the locker room. I have hall of fame players in a couple different leagues such as the NSFL/ISFL and most likely the EFL and well, hopefully the SHL as I think Leitner may deserve it with an MVP and 2 McBride's in his trophy case to name a few of his trophies. I don't automatically aim to make a hall of fame player. I made a player that I hope is a decent number two or three starter in the PBE, a Wide Receiver in the ISFL who I hope just makes plays and help a team expand their offense, a defensive center in the SBA, and here, a center that is a solid defender and a playmaker. Rikki Petrov is not trying to get 50 goals and 50 assists, he is hoping for 2 goals and 50 assists along with a good faceoff percentage, a good amount of hits and takeaways and a solid +/- while he is on the ice. While yes, I do want to be a first line center, I would rather set up my linemates for some goal scoring opportunities. Let those guys get the glory and the shine while Rikki is just valuable and happy to be there. I have very little ego for my players other than when their contributions are challenged. If my player is doing well or had a good career and someone says, "You Suck," then I got to clap back, but honestly, I would prefer to just be a good to great player over a perennial MVP. I am more comfortable making goaltenders but wanted to try something different. My first VHL player was a solid center who played as a 2nd line center on a team that made the cup finals and I decided to come back to a position I enjoy almost as much as goalie. Rikki Petrov as well was a center in the NSHL so it carried over well to fit in with the other Petrovs who were wingers or defenders coming over from the NSHL.

4. Decent locker room guy and teammate.

I don't know if anyone has ever had an issue with me in their locker room and if so, it at least has not been pointed out to me. There are some out there who have tried to spin my name up in a negative light but that was never in any of my locker rooms, instead it was a petty management thing from the PBE. I always accept everyone for who they are and won't put anyone down for being themselves. It is something I strive for hard when I was a GM in the PBE, that no matter who you are or what people say about you or rumors about you, you will get a shot with me. Did it always work out? No, but does not mean I did not try my hardest to be all-inclusive and that is just how I am. That being said, I have always considered myself to be a pretty real individual and I don't try to just appease everyone, but I will always fight for myself, my friends, or in these leagues, my players or teammates, that is just how it is. I am in a lot of leagues so I am not always around for long discussions in locker rooms but am usually around given my job is pretty relaxed and stuff. I wouldn't be an issue in most locker rooms, just do not have a certain user in there, that could cause problems, and I won't name any names because it would do no good. They hate me and I hate them but it does nothing to just come out and demean them, the past is the past, but still don't want to deal with them.

5. Build Plans

People have asked me my build plans and I will just put here that I am looking to maximize playmaking abilities and defensive abilities to be that true two-way center. I want good passing, good faceoffs and good defense. I own FHM6 though admittedly I have not done too much with it but could always get into it if I need to figure out how to best utilize my player!

6. Money

I struggle hard with money in the SHL which is pretty much why I am trying to write this and admittedly I need to write more. I also have a Twitter for Rikki but claiming it is kind of annoying but I can try and be a little bit better there. I want to write media enough times to build up some kind of bank but I can not guarantee it. I can do enough with contract plus some media and some twitter to guarantee at least training each week which I think will be crucial going forward. I have no issues with keeping up a bank account and affording trainings but for equipments and stuff, it can be a struggle at times, but we shall see. I plan on doing a large draft review here as well so that should be a good chunk of money!

In closing, draft me.
