Where Are They Now? The S24 draft class, one season later

Please don't grade.

The BuzzKill presents:

<div align="center">Where are They Now?
A look into the future for the Season 24 draft class</div>

Between the recent passing of the S25 SHL Entry Draft and talk surrounding the S26 SHL Entry Draft considering a lot of big veterans recreating, it's easy for people to forget the S24 draft class. Through history, this will probably be perceived as a holistically weak draft. There are a few names that people could rattle off the top of their head if they were asked, but it pales in comparison to the names being thrown around from S25, S20, or quite frankly, S39.

The S24 draft class stands at a crossroads in this S25 off season. Most players are coming from stellar sophomore campaigns with their respective SMJHL teams and are eager to start anew. Other players are facing stacked depth charts and must continue to wait their turn. Still others aren't sure, and that's okay! If an SHL career were to represent an entire life cycle, the 2nd send down / 1st big league year would certainly be a formative one. With the size of the draft class behind them, though -- and the unique try-hard-iness of some members of that class -- puts the pressure on the 1st and 2nd round selections in particular.

That's why I reached out to my fellow members of the S24 class who were selected in the 1st or 2nd round and asked the simple question: do you know if you're going up or staying down next season? I looked at an old article by Chris McZehrl to see how much TPE each draftee had after the 1st round of the S23 playoffs and compared it to what their player page says right now. To accompany the answer to that question, I recapped the player's rookie season, their S24 season, and a look into what they might be doing next season.

I actually had something written for it, too. That's the stupid thing. I'm panicking at what else I could possibly get wrong, and I'm too embarrassed to continue with 3000+ words of other things I could get wrong, so it's done. There was color commentary, a recap of their activity level thus far, how it accompanied their stats in the index ... a real winner. Maybe I'll stick to the podcast.

Here's where everyone's going that I know of; unknowns were left blank.

Nice writeup man, ton of effort put into this. My TPE is wrong though bud. I know youre going up Player pages and not update pages though.

I wonder what the % of players who go up and stay down will be.

Well then ... shit. It seems I'll have to go check all of these.

Updated with S25 destinations.

Since that's the only reason you'd read, right? Sure, it's a fact that's wrong, but that was correct at one point in time. Everyone was on a "level" playing field in that it was used as our final update around the same time. For fuck's sake.
