Moving up soon
#1

Ever since entering the world of the SMJHL, Brett McMann has made it his goal to one day make the roster of an SHL team. First drafted to the San Diego Tidal of the SMJHL in S80, McMann was a 2nd round pick at 19th overall and was ecstatic to start playing competitive hockey. Throughout a decent minor league career McMann has done well for the average tiered Tidal, but three seasons have gone by now and McMann is ready for his next challenge. Following S80, in S81 Brett was drafted in the first round, and once again 19th overall but to the Minnesota Monarchs. Ever since hearing his name he has been determined to make their roster and next season his determination will finally pay off. Although McMann is eligible to play another season in the SMJHL, he feels as if he ready to step onto the ice of the major league and feels this is where he most belongs. The Monarchs have been a struggling franchise for the past little while but have most recently created an extremely talented prospect room which will hopefully steer the team along the right path sooner than later. McMann being apart of that prospect group, can easily see himself fitting into the 3rd line center position upon his rookie debut. McMann knows he may not be the most talented or experienced rookie heading into S83, but that does not matter to him, he just wants the chance to show everyone what he himself can do for his team.

Apparently there is an expansion draft coming up soon, and my personal guess is that McMann being a S81 player will not have to worry about going to a new team. I wonder if Minnesota will be losing any crucial players or not. But besides that I am very excited to play for my new team next season and finally end the first chapter of my player's career in the SMJHL. I enjoyed the J, but at the end of the day everyone wants to play in the best league possible, and that has been my goal since creating this player. I've never had a successful past in the SHL, only having successful players in the SMJHL, I'm really planning to change that history with McMann. It will be pretty sweet being part of this rebuild as well, and even sweeter when other teams do not look on their schedule and see Minnesota as an automatic win. I really do hope my player can fit in with this team and hopefully stay for most of it not all of his career. Time will tell, but yeah I'm ready to get this party started.
