Didn't mean to cause big problems for anyone, just seemed odd that could possibly be a ruling. Seems this is one of the first times its ever happened. In the leagues history, I'm sure this will now be looked at in the offseason.

Yeah. RFA and two-way contracts have been unused for a long time now, but they're still posted in the rulebook. The precedent the head office has set is that they enforce the rules as written, but will rework the rules after if it's clear they're flawed. I fully support either a reform or at least more use in terms of RFAs, but that doesn't change that this instance is governed by the rules currently in place.
