You know who were the real dicks? Friends. In NYC and they didn't say shit about 9/11 when it happened. Could have had "A Very Special Episode" about it but nooooo, they're too busy dicking around at Central Perks.

Kinda feels like a last ditch attempt to put yourself over here, knowing you're not going to win based solely on your media piece. This vote should be based off of reputation and the case put forth in your presser, otherwise it's coming across as defeatist and salty before the voting even starts.

You make a good point, though it feels like you're doing it solely to further your own agenda.

You're not wrong on multiple accounts. Let's call it hedging my bet, I feel a bit like that one Democratic candidate that just looked happy to be at the debate early on. There's a reason I am running but I have realistic optimism.

I've seen this sentiment a few times, and I always feel the need to respond to it.

They considered and rejected the idea of making explicit mention of it on the show, because it was intended to be entertainment and an escape from some of the awfulness that often occurs in the real world, not a reminder of it. They did have characters wearing things like FDNY and I <3 NY shirts, though, to make a quieter statement of support without directly reminding viewers of the tragedy.

You can certainly argue whether or not they should've done more, but they didn't ignore it or fail to give it any thought. They made a conscious choice of how to handle it, and I think they did a solid job for the viewership at the time, even if it doesn't look as good for folks who go back and watch it now.

I really want the slot, but I know this is a popularity contest and I won't get one.

Been a Co Gm here in smjhl and GM for a long time on gomhl, and commissioner. I got the credentials. Not the votes.
