Ya, laugh now while you ride the coattails of the stars on your team. We'll see who's laughing when we retire our players and no one remembers Sarantez.

20. (S13) G (Winnipeg Jets) - Lauris Prikulis || -8
Grade: 18/20
Past Seasons: S20-3, S21-4, S22-7, S23-12

Starting the top-20 is veteran goaltender Lauris Prikulis. Prikulis was the best goaltender during S22, sporting a .924 save percentage. However S23 saw a chink in the armor when his numbers fell drastically, forcing him to settle for the 6th best save percentage in the league. Due to his lack of performance compared to last season, the Winnipeg Jets had trouble and missed the playoffs by 3 points. If Prikulis had been even a little better, the team may have been able to find a few points and make it instead of the Riot. Just shows how important Prikulis is to the team.

19. (S9) (Edmonton Blizzard) - Armin Brovalchuk || +10
Grade: 18/20
Past Seasons: S20-23, S21-13, S22-14, S23-29

At number 19 is Armin Brovalchuk of the Edmonton Blizzard. Brovalchuk took a big nosedive during the regular season last year, scoring only 30 points and finishing at a -1 on the season. However by some miracle he managed to sneak into the top-20 due to his past accomplishments, so the veteran is in the top-20 for the third time since this piece has started.

18. (S14) LW (Seattle Riot) - Carter O'Callahan || -15
Grade: 18/20
Past Seasons: S20-1, S21-3, S22-1, S23-3

Taking a big fall from grace on this list is superstar Carter O'Callahan of the Seattle Riot. The Riot are a new location for the Wolfpack winger, and after winning a cup with the Wolfpack O'Callahan may be trying to do it in a new location. O'Callahan, unlike Brovalchuk, was not able to dodge the voters' wrath with his sub-par season scoring only 38 points, but he may be able to do it in a new environment this year.

17. (S18) D (Manhattan Rage) - Roy Razin || -13
Grade: 18/20
Past Seasons: S20-82, S21-62, S22-46, S23-4

Another big dropper is former top-5 player Roy Razin, who went from a point per game season with 19 goals to a 34 point season. A big decline for the young superstar, but nothing that he cannot surmount for Season 24. When you get this high on our list, the competition is even more fierce, and any flawed seasons will do a number on your ranking.

16. (S15) G (Manhattan Rage) - C.J. James || Even
Grade: 18/20
Past Seasons: S20-51, S21-46, S22-49, S23-16

Sticking to his previous season's ranking, James was able to finish this list as the top goaltender among current players. James followed up a Challenge Cup victory with a 7 win playoff run and a .924 save percentage, almost willing the Rage to a second finals berth in a row. James cannot rest on his laurels, though, as many talented goaltenders will be coming back to take the throne.

15. (S15) LW (Hamilton Steelhawks) Riko Muerto || +27
Grade: 18/20
Past Seasons: S20-41, S21-33, S22-25, S23-42

At number 15 is Riko Muerto, whose two-way play and improved offensive numbers catapulted him into the top-20 for the first time in his career. Muerto started his stint in Hamilton with a 23 goal, 42 point season, as well as a +14, good for second among his teammates.

14. (S8) C (Seattle Riot) - Joe McKeil || -1
Grade: 18/20
Past Seasons: S20-2, S21-1, S22-8, S23-13

At number 14 is veteran and future Hall of Famer Joe McKeil, who was able to slightly improve his point totals with the Steelhawks but not improve his standing on this list, falling back a spot but remaining in the top-20. McKeil has since been moved to the Seattle Riot, but as he gets older this may not help keep him fresh and in the top-20 next year.

13. (S8) D (Toronto North Stars) - Darian Scherbluk || +7
Grade: 18/20
Past Seasons: S20-5, S21-8, S22-17, S23-20

At number 13 is Darian Scherbluk, North Stars prodigy. The veteran followed up a 34 point season with a monster 42 point season despite the North Stars having a horrible time as a team in the second half. Scherbluk also blocked 81 shots and remains an important veteran to the squad, helping young players like Laflamme become better players.

12. (S15) C (Calgary Dragons) Roberts Birkavs || +2
Grade: 18/20
Past Seasons: S20-62, S21-35, S22-30, S23-14

At number 12 is Dragons center and almost unquestionably best player on the roster, Roberts Birkavs, who remained as dominant as ever with a 51 point season on the non-playoff Dragons. He had 10 powerplay points, saw his minutes increase, and keeps making strides to get the Dragons into the playoffs.

11. (S16) RW (Minnesota Chiefs) - Niklas Stryker || -1
Grade: 18/20
Past Seasons: S20-42, S21-38, S22-57, S23-10

At number 11 and dropping right outside the top-10 is Chiefs star Niklas Stryker. Stryker had another great year with the Chiefs, scoring 23 goals and 52 points, a huge reason why the Chiefs were able to make the playoffs two years in a row. Currently he drives the offense in Minnesota, and is helping guide some of the younger players like Sarantez and Banananov. If those players keep improving, Stryker will be back in the top-10 with another dynamite performance.

Least you got put on over rookies that had less points and shittier stats than you but "promise to be great players in the future".

I want to thank ArGarBar for all the hard work he's done, it took forever to get this done due to no one stepping up to be an expert, and I left town for 3 weeks and he basically had to finish this off on his own. So thanks buddy.

People hating on the list, I understand the rankings are a bit messed up, but look at the amount of ties there was, I mean with 4 voters you can't really expect a list to make much sense. We used to get 8-10 experts for this thing, and the list turned out great.

So next season, we will implement some changes ArGarBar mentioned, and hopefully we can get some people to step up and be an expert.

Thanks for reading guys.
