what is an MVP
#91

To answer the initial question of "What is an MVP"

An MVP does everything McZ does on the ice.
While doing the exact opposite of what he does off the ice

Thank you to My boys @Merica and @Ragnar for the lovely sigs!

FWIW, other than Bure, you are 300 minutes below each of the top 4.

Though GVT normalizes for minutes played, so that's already factored into those original numbers Smile)

It "normalizes it". 300 more minutes is a massive amount of time and regardless of GVT it gives the player exponentially more opportunities. So their GVT would obviously be higher. Bure is crushing it though and I am happy with where I am, so yeah...

What I mean is that it values everything lower based on minutes played. So yes, they have more opportunities, but those points are scaled based on their time on ice. Whereas someone who's producing a lot but isn't getting much ice time is going to see numbers reflecting what they're doing with the time they DO get.

I know what you mean, I am just stating that it isn't perfect. It can only normalize so much and having 300 more minutes can throw it off a bit.

Tbh Tanner I don't understand what GVT means, what's the difference between GVT and P/20?

I believe GVT is how much more effective you are then your peers with the same amount of minutes.
