The "League of Accomplished Players" Project
#1

So I have enjoyed this league for the past three years, been invested in my player, my team, and each season regardless of the outcome. However one thing that I feel has always been missing is the ability to compare players. I started a legacy score calculator as a little experiment, but over the last year or so I have been working on a document that lists every single player who has ever accomplished something in the league, and think when finished it would be an invaluable source for people to compare SHL players in history and compare current players to those who have won in the past.

Right now it is tentatively titled "The League of Accomplished Players." It is a work in progress, and eventually I hope to have an accurate list of players (perhaps listed in order of their cumulative legacy score), including their point totals (wins and losses for tendys), top-5 scoring finishes, awards, All-Star selections, and maybe even Top-10 finishes in the Top-100.

This is something that even without a lot of support I will probably work on during winter break, but would appreciate people volunteering ideas as well as helping review the accuracy of what I have tabulated so far.

This can be helpful and potentially be a part of the HoF expansion that artermis is proposing, and if the entire thing is successful it could make the league even better with regards to people being able to learn its history and feel more immersed in the entire league.

I added images for Taylor McDavid's player to start, giving an idea of what I am looking for with each player, and haven't decided if I should color code or order each award on a hierarchy based on what is most "important". Right now it is very jumbled, and there is no set order other than Centers, Wingers, Defensemen, Goaltenders, and TBD (those I do not know the position of, yet).

Any comments or questions are appreciated.

Really neat idea! I think their's a ton of potential in something like this!

Edit: Would be cool to include Cup wins as well

Current Player: C - Matthew Leroux [Vancouver Whalers]
Past Player: RW - David Benson [Seattle Riot/First Overall Scrub]

For some reason I thought All-rookie teams were more recent.

I would include Cup wins only for those players who have won another type of award. Not going to add every single inactive who won a cup.

I second adding cup wins, because otherwise Tanner seems lackluster Ninja

He was definitely a postseason goalie, other than S29

Also there is a lot of players in the TBD column. If anyone can just check and let me know if they recall the position they played (C, W, D, G) that would be great.
