I'm giving Take Care one more shot Jaytee

Starting listening now will post a review soon Smile (4th time I've listened to it, 2nd time I'll write a review)

Lol. You probably still won't like it. That is fine though, Drake is a real polarizing figure in the rap game.

Over My Dead Body- 4.5/5 I like the beat quite a bit, his rapping is aight but not spectacular. But I absolutely love the beat

Shot for Me- 5/5 Love this, love the beat, honestly his rapping is the worst part of this one but I love the beat and the singing enough that I'm not docking it at all

Headlines- 5/5 I love this one always have. Probably my favorite Drake track because he actually carries it pretty well.

Crew Love- 3.5/5 Love the Weeknd so fucking smooth, not liking the beat and the rapping I was not feeling on this one The Weeknd was enough to salvage it though as a decent track.

Take Care- 5/5 This one has grown on me, Rihanna is silky smooth as ever and Drake's rapping on this one has really grown on me at first I hated it but after about my 1000th time listening to it I kinda dig it. As always I like when he's more melodic, he's got a pretty solid R&B Voice, although I could do without the ending part which is still strange imo

Marvin's Room/Buried Alive-- 3.5/5 Way too long imo, he dragged out the opening far too long by the time we actually got to the rapping I was bored, his rapping was solid but honestly he killed the hook in a bad way and that ruined this one for me and by the time I got to Kendrick I was really ready to skip to the next track. The piano was beautiful and overall the beat was entrancing, Kendrick killed it but was WAY too long, if this was a 5 minute song, cut out the repetitive hook and this would probably be a 5

Underground Kings- 4/5 Not too too huge on the rapping here, not bad but not great, the beat was a tad boring overall and the what sounds like 4-key riff gets really old quick Although the Dufflebag Boy verse was pretty funny

We'll Be Fine- 3.5/5 Do not like the beat, and Birdman is the worst rapper ever and the last 30 seconds made me want to kill myself, God I hate the Birdman. Rapping by Drake isn't bad though

Make Me Proud- 4/5 Love the hook, love Nicki's verse, Drake's rapping is a mess though, I don't like when he tries to pick up the speed because lyrically the substance is missing big time.

Lord Knows- 4/5 Probably my favorite rapping by Drake, love the beat, Docked a point because, Drake you should be smacked for saying you're a descendant of Marley or Hendrix, you're not even remotely close to being in the same bracket as them. Not a huge fan of Ross but I actually liked his verse quite a bit

Cameras- 2/5 Drake I don't know who told you 7+ Minute songs are a good idea but they're wrong. Bored again. So repetetive

Doing it Wrong- 4/5 Felt a bit out of place on this album, overall the song was pretty solid, But after the interlude it falls off even further and that's not a good idea here. Definitely would have preferred an upbeat song here to get me back into it

The Real Her-4/5 Lil Wayne is terrible here, Drake's alright but the real winner here is Andre, loved his verse. He really ran away with this track and no real standout by Drake made this one forgettable aside from Andre

Look What You've Done- 5/5 Love the rapping here and love the beat, Possibly my favorite song on the album top to bottom

HYFR- 4/5 Beat is ill as fuck. Rapping's aight, some of his better rapping on the album imo, but fuck man Lil Wayne again makes the song worse. Not Wayne's worst song but definitely not anywhere near a classic Wayne

Practice- 4/5 Nothing really stands out good or bad here. Just a decent song

The Ride- 5/5 Solid song. pretty good lyrically, nice way to close out the album imo

Final Rating!
4.11/5
Overall I've been very hard on Drake because I'm not a huge fan of him, This album is still not one of my favorites but it's got some really strong songs and I may have been overly hard on him at times but my point still remains that his strong suit is R&B and I feel he's much better when someone else is running with the beat and he's laying down a smooth R&B Line. Overall looks like the 4th time was the charm here and it may be because it's the first full album I've listened to with my new headset which makes errything sound slick but I like it a lot more now than an hour ago that's for sure Smile

Thank you to My boys @Merica and @Ragnar for the lovely sigs!

I thought Wayne was solid on The Real Her tbh

my favorite track on that album is probably Doing it Wrong. Mainly because the Stevie Wonder harmonica playing is dope.

I think if they put it anywhere else on the album it would have been a 5 but after that really long song I was bored and it didn't exactly drag me back in

Do you know what that new J Cole song is? I heard it on the radio today, can't remember what it is though. It's not Power Trip. It's sick, but I don't remember anything lol.

Skyzoo- A Dream Deferred

Dreams In a Basement- 4.5/5 Great start, solid rapping, solid beat, pretty big fan of the hook. Love Jill Scott, nice to see her on here

Jansport Strings- 3.5/5 Like the beat a lot, rapping was good, hook was repetitive and wasn't a fan of it

Pockets Full- 5/5 Freeway so dope. Rapping was good, hook was again repetitive and the weak point but Freeway makes up for it

Give It Up- 4/5 Favorite rapping so far but the hook was annoying and the change of beat between the two kinda ruined it for me

Glass Ceilings- 5/5 My favorite song so far best full song

Range Rover Rhythm- 5/5 Picking up pace now, loved this one, solid hook, solid rapping

The Knowing- 4/5 Love the hook, Jessy Wilson tears it up, rapping was alright on this one, not as good as the last 2 songs though.

Drew And Darwin- 5/5 My favorite hook so far, just very well done imo, rapping was good, beat was okay, I had 4.5 until I heard the Yeezy sound bit Tongue

Realization- 5/5 This album gets better as it goes. Love the hook on this, love the hook and rapping in this one

The Rage of Roemello- 5/5 God man this album is dope as fuck as it goes on. Another great song

How To Make It Through Hysteria- 5/5 Love it. Great rapping, great beat solid as fuck.

Steel Apartment- 4/5 Fumbles a little bit compared to the last 4 but still a great song

Spike Lee Was My Hero- 5/5 Talib, need I say more?

Cost Of Sleep- 4.5 Solid enough good rapping, the hook is what I'm docking for just not great.

Live For the Moment- 5/5 One of my favorites, love the hook and the rapping and beat. Great song

Total 4.63/5

Damn good, can't believe I haven't heard this till now. Love this as a whole. Great album. Highly recommend it
