Maxy is what you call the best "Player GM", he treats his players good.

I can agree with this, he's definitely nice to all of his players and values everybody under equal circumstances.

“The Wheel of Time turns, and Ages come and pass, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth comes again. ... There are neither beginnings nor endings to the Wheel of Time. But it was a beginning.”

I'm the worst GM in the league to many people Tongue but yeah Maxy's a good guy and I've said before if I ever had just a player and went into the draft, he'd be one of the first guys I'd wanna play for
Based on skill, I would rate you or Joe first. You were a class act as my GM, and I was very, very selfish. I feel bad for not really enjoying my time in Toronto (not knowing anyone there really), as you did everything and beyond to make me happy, But.... hey, you wouldn't have Heiss probably if I didn't leave Wink

I don't see two of those GM's as better than Maxy. Yes, I am biased, but I am honestly impressed with what maxy has done.

I get that you guys think I am wrong, but that's why I stated it is my opinion.

I mean I just don't get why you think so.

He's been GM for 4 seasons. He's made a total of 0 playoffs in those 4 seasons. How does that make him top 3?

I'm genuinely curious how you rank him above the, at minimum, 8 GMs that have made the playoffs over him in the two seasons you've been here.

Also Wade has never missed the playoffs. Top 3 for sure Wink

I have never been in the same LR as Maxy, but I can image what a great GM he is

Like I have said, in the two seasons I have been here, he has shown me that he is a top gm. Not only does he care about all of his players, but he has built one hell of a young and talented team. Almost purely through the draft too..

Don't see it personally. I look at the facts though, call me old fashioned I guess.

I really appreciate you saying that. I didn't think you were selfish, we just didn't know each other very well and we probably didn't communicate very well with the whole goalie situation.

You can't say in my opinion and then say based on skill. Those are two separate terms.

If we are basing GMs off skill/winning these are my rankings

GM Rankings
1. Leafs
2. Tez
3. Joe
4. Wade
5. Ace
6. Krever
7. Ofer
8. DA
9. Klose
10. Maxy
11. Toast
12. Wasty (Only because you haven't had a season as GM yet)

A measure of somebody's skill is purely opinionated, though.

Oh, so building a great young team that will be making the playoffs consistently for the next 5+ seasons is a bad GM?

In the past two seasons, Maxy has built a GREAT young team. That is what I have personally seen.

you can't have a great young team unless you have done something with them. Right now it is just a team with potential.

And BBH you measure skill in wins, titles, player production etc.

Leafs is a great GM but is no where active enough to be first, and he rearely posts in the lr.

It is my opinion that Sidney Crosby had the skill to score 15 goals last season.
