I like the idea too. Though every Dummy player's name should have something like (CPU) or (***) or something to identify them as Dummy players in the index easily.

I also think that there should be a limit on dummy players (first come first serve). It would change with every season, I'd imagine. We know there is some strategy from the GMs that deal with the less players. We don't want to completely destroy that by giving them a plethora of players. If the limit was done so this level of strategizing was done and the low amount of players is solved, then good for all.

Ultimately, this is not a permanent solution, just a temporary one that can be helpful when recruiting quotas run short. If we want to make a permanent fix for this, we have to go a different route. The recruiting pool is drying up and becoming considerably unreliable and unpredictable. There are only so many people on the internet who would even qualify as being potentially interested in this sort of niche community, let alone be interested enough to stick around. This was an issue I saw coming before I left before, really. It even happened to an extent before I left (though people loved to stop saying it was an issue as soon as we got a random really good recruiting turnout). We need to take steps to promote a more self-sustaining league, rather than relying on recuits so heavily.
