I think TPE obsession leads to burnout.

Try not to tinker all the time without a very compelling reason to do so. I think that the adjustments to the starting values several seasons back ended up a good idea and were a good example of a compelling reason to make a change. I don't think that you need a league with a bunch of superstar clones.

With a fresh perspective, I'd stay with the rules you already have in place. See how it works for a while. Getting all worked up about a few TPE ruins the fun if you actually have a life outside the SHL. I'd rather be a late round pick or UFA that makes it as a fourth line role player than a stressed out superstar if those were the only choices.
