First, Ben Turska (Banjo) asked Dominik Tretiak (<a href='index.php?showuser=1105' rel='nofollow' alt='profile link' class='user-tagged mgroup-3'>Molholt</a>) some questions.

1. How do you believe you can contribute to a heavily favorited St. Louis Scarecrows team?

I'm ready to learn. This team is setup in position to be pretty great without me, so I consider it a great opportunity to come in and hone my craft and learn what it takes to be a winner in this league. There is no debating it, I'm going to be coming off the bench for St. Louis, so I need to focus my attention on improving myself and absorbing everything I can from the starter while he is here. This is a great way for me to ease myself into the role and into the league and I think it'll work out well. I hope to contribute by providing a good example for others, hard work and determination will be good qualities for a championship caliber team!

2. What aspects of your game are you looking to improve on during your time in the SMJHL?

Frankly, my entire game needs work - my skills are very raw for this league, I'm acutely aware of that. I really want to be bigger in net though, utilize my frame to its fullest potential and take up a lot of space. I'm a smaller guy, but I pride myself on playing like a much bigger guy in net. I'll need to keep refining that ability if I want to succeed at this level.

3. How has life in St. Louis been for you? Does it feel familiar, or completely foreign?

Its... it feels strangely familiar, although I can't place exactly why. It feels like I've been here before, or like I've been here all along - it feels like home. I think I'll fit in great here and I think my time is going to be well spent developing with the Scarecrows. The organization is already taking great care of me.

1. Turska. What does it mean to have that last name, and the history it carries with it, on the back of your jersey?

It is hard to put it into words some times just how much this name means to me. I understand the history the name has had in the league, and specifically with the Minnesota Chiefs. My father has expressed just how much it means to him that I am playing in the league, without even playing a regular season game in the SMJHL. That right there shows how proud he is, and I am going to do everything in my power to make sure that the Turska name is once again well-respected in the SHL.

2. Who is the key to the Militia being successful? Why?

It's a generic answer, but I believe the biggest key to the Militia's success is goaltender Thaddeus Prince. He had an excellent preseason, and I believe that he will be able to bring the same success to the regular season. It is so important to have a top goaltender to be successful in a league like this, and I firmly believe we have the best one. Of course, there are so many other keys on this team I could go in depth with but since I had to pick one, I will stick with Prince.

3. What elements of an SHL team are important to you when it comes to draft time?

I would say the most important thing for me is knowing that the team has a good locker room culture. It can be challenging to stay motivated and keep up a winning attitude when no one else around you feels the same way. Of course, winning is always nice but that does not even come close to my desire to play for a team with solid guys who all want to engage in conversation off the ice, and have a winning desire on the ice.
