Task #1
5. Finn Kruger – Mammoths – Kruger was able to put up 13 points in 14 games so far for the Mammoths but has also been part of a dominant Colorado offense with the top 3 scorers in the playoffs. Kruger’s points put him in the top 5 but his +/- of 1 and relying heavily on assists to his other amazing teammates drops him to bottom of that list for me.

4. Nour Harrak – Knights – Nour was able to put up insane numbers for a rookie in his first playoffs. 6 goals and 6 assists good for 12 points in 12 games and posted a hat trick to boot. Nour played amazing for Kelowna and proved he was clutch with his 14.63 shooting percentage. Don’t be surprised to see Nour in the top 5 for playoffs on a seasonal basis.

3. Shoyu Kikkoman – Whalers – Shoyu has been superb for Vancouver in their short playoffs so far putting up 9 points in only 6 games. Talk about a clutch shooter too as he boasts a 33.33 shooting percentage which is just insane. I expect him to keep adding to his totals for Vancouver in the finals.

2. Vratislav Zbyněk – Mammoths - Vratislav leads the league in playoff points at the moment with 14 points in 14 games. It’s hard not to put the points leader this high on the list so he seemed like an obvious choice. Vratislav was able to do this while also playing the penalty kill for the Mammoths and had a whopping 25 hits.

1. Carrick Murray – Whalers – Murray is my obvious choice for number 1 after leading Vancouver to such a dominant record in the playoffs so far. He boasts a .893 save percentage which is good for second in the league in the playoffs and a league leading 2.24 GAA while going 4-2 so far.

Richard Johnson here with Roman Augustus of the St. Louis Scarecrows thanks for being here today. I have but one question for you Roman and that’s, How would you describe the Scarecrows’ season?
“Thanks for having me here Richard. I’d say the perfect description of our season would be up and down. We started a little slow this year and then got amazingly hot. We tore up the standings for weeks. We then decided to bring in John Langabeer to help make our team even better and we suddenly hit an incredible losing streak. It seemed nothing would work during that part of the season no matter what we did. We tinkered away though and found the sweet spot and eventually played like our usual selves. We won 10 in a row to close out the season and bring the Laurifer back to St. Louis which is an amazing accomplishment. Unfortunately, though the playoffs didn’t go our way. We ran into an amazingly talented and hot goalie and no matter what we did we just couldn’t crack him. So, in the end, our season started low and then went incredibly high. We then hit an insane low and fought back to another amazing high, only to experience the lowest of lows in the playoffs.”
Wow that sounds like quite an emotional experience. St. Louis has a strong core though and should compete in future season. Thanks for joining me today Roman.

I believe Carrick Murray of the Vancouver Whalers should win the playoff MVP. Murray has been unbelievable in net for the Whalers leading them to easy wins so far while boasting insanse stats. His.893 save percentage is good for second in the league among playoff goalies. He’s also boasting an unreal 2.24 goals against average which is good for tops in the league. Murray’s stats have been insane all season and haven’t changed into the playoffs. Sure he plays in behind one of the best teams in the league but his save percentage can not be inflated by good defensive play like his goals against average can. He’s been dominant so far in the playoffs and has led Vancouver to a, as of this writing, 4-2 record that hasn’t even been that close. A lot of goalies can also get hot at the right time but this is not the case for Murray as he dominated in all these categories all season as well. So for the performance that he has put in and win or lose for the Whalers, my playoff MVP is Carrick Murray.
