I would like to add Montreal Militia’s Marcus Nyquist to the third line of the Detroit Falcons to center the Barlow brothers. Yes he is only a 155 inactive but Nyquist is the only center on either non-playoff team to really have any points in checking. I think he would be a valuable addition to the Barlows line and help crush opponentents into the ice. He would be replacing a strong Matthias Victorsson but Nyquist hits more. In terms of statistics I think Nyquist would likely be terrible likely finishing with something abysmal like a -19 with 0 points but he might be able to put up a hit a game, which would be respectable from a 155 inactive. Plus it is not like the third lines of the SHL or SMJHL play very much so might as well try to have some fun with Nyquist instead of winning with Victorsson.

Well I think there will be some generic interest because of my agency but my agency also has a reputation of lack of dedication to the SHL. I feel I have an established enough name and a public enough situation with my brother and I demanding to play together that our playoff performance will have no impact on my draft stock in anyway shape or form. If anything in the offseason in private messages I will be courteous to all comers and politely explain what I would like from each team and inform them if those conditions are not met I will not sign with them. Doing so privately and politely I think will improve my draft stock.

Here is the real goalie matchup. In Detroit there has been a goalie controversy. Blowjob Jesus JR. is supposed to be a backup goalie but he has been playing out of his mind lately. In the final game of the regular season he was the starting goalie against Kelowna. Winner goes to the playoffs. He out performed his counterpart in Jay Bae stopping 12 out of 15 shots. Then in playoffs BJJJR replaced starting netminder Evgueni Marmeladov, who was shelled early. BJJJR went on to put up a 1.94 GAA and a .923 save percentage in 31 minutes, winning the game for Detroit. Unbelievable numbers for a SHL goaltender.

Meanwhile Evgueni Marmeladov in the first four games of the playoffs has put up a save percentage of .848 and a GAA of 3.34. Terrible numbers. This begs the question of who will claim the starting goaltending job going forward. Will Marmeladov be usurped by a rising Blowjob? Or will the coach favour Marmeladov who has been the starter all season long. This may not be the highlight matchup of the playoffs but it is an important head to head for the Detroit Falcons who are moving on to the next round.
