<div align="center">Sigurd Hansen's First Assist</div>

Anyone can see by looking at Sigurd Hansen's record that he records many assists. He takes pride in helping his teammates score goals. In fact, Hansen takes pride in making beautiful passes to his teammates because he knows many goals would not have been scored if there was not a well-timed and accurate pass. Hansen's first assist came in a 3-1 victory over the Detroit Falcons in the Kelowna Knights' first game of the season. Ten minutes into a tied 1-1 game and on the power play, fellow teammate Lyndis Vakarian delivered a hard hit to Detroit's Ben Turska in the corner behind Detroit's net, causing Turska to possession of the puck. The puck went fly down the up the ice along the boards to the left point where Hansen was positioned. Hansen, knowing the puck was coming to him, looked for an open teammate. Upon gaining possession of the puck, Hansen threw a long and hard pass to teammate Janis Døro. Due to Detroit being a man down, Døro had found a patch of open ice at the bottom of the faceoff circle on the right side of the rink. The puck slid fast along the ice headed toward Døro where Døro teed up for a one-timer. As soon as the puck got to the right place, Døro slapped the puck, making it fly through the air toward the net. Detroit's Evgueni Marmeladov barely had time to notice the Hansen's pass before Døro had shot the puck into the wide open net. Døro had broken the tie game with beautifully timed pass from Hansen, notching the first point for both players in the season. Kelowna would go on to win the game 3-1, getting their first victory of the season.
