Task #1

The final two teams left to take home the Four Star Cup are the Montreal Militia and the Detroit Falcons. The Militia make a return to the Cup final after having a rough season last year which they ended up with the lottery pick, because of finishing dead last.

Beaujeaux Biscuit leads the way for the Militia, finishing the regular season with 23 wins in 46 games, alongside 3 shutouts. The Irish tender finished 3rd in both Goals Against Average and Save Percentage but faced the second most shots of any goaltender with 1076 saves. Also the tender played the most minutes of any other goaltender.

200 feet away in the other cage, the Detroit Falcons are lucky to have Evgueni Marmeladov between the pipes. The Detroit tender had a 0.885 Save Percentage and a 2.79 Goals Against Average, which were good for 5th and 6th in the league. Although being on the lower end of the GAA and SV% columns, he managed to get 25 wins in 44 games, good for first in the league! Also the goaltender faced the 3rd most shots which makes the 25 wins very impressive.

The finals showcase two goaltenders who are used to getting a lot of shots, most of the time, its the hot goaltender who wins the series, but who will it be?


Task #2

Inari Twain deserves to win the Playoff MVP this year. The guy is having a MONSTER post season, posting 11 Goals and 11 Assists in 17 games, good for FIRST in the post-season. The Militia have a lot of minus players, but Inari still is tied for team high plus 3. The guy is on fire this post-season. 8 Power Play Points, Inari is a threat on the Power Play. A big reason why the Militia are back in the Finals after a rough season last year. No one in the league expected the Militia to be where they are, but Twain has the team on his back. The first line of McKinley and DeLon Ishii with Twain on the right has been dynamic. This is one of the more dominating post-season performances in recent history. The town of Montreal can thank Twain if they win, and he will be forever known as a town hero.


Task #3 - Write a goals highlight play by play for one series winning game, or make an infographic featuring stats from a series winning game.

1. Tatu Mäkelä

Captain and Star Rookie, the defense man is a huge impact for his teams success on both ends of the ice.

2. Inari Twain

Star RW for the Militia, Twain has been on fire this post-season and looks to continue his success.

3. Beaujeaux Biscuit

One of the best goalies in the league, the Militias Irish tender will be hard to get one past every game.

4. Vijanupatan Singh

Singh is off to a great post-season, the Falcons rely on him heavily for offence and he hasn't disappointed.

5. Evgueni Marmeladov

The Falcons goalie is incredibly talented and is not far behind Beaujeaux, the Falcons are lucky to have such an athletic goaltender.
