Task #1 -Write 200 words or make a graphic highlighting any goalie matchup of the series.
Written must include 3 stats, either from playoffs or the regular season.
Graphic must include both goalie renders and both team logos.
The two goalies that I have picked to really focus on during their playoff season exploits are Aleksandr Aleksandrov of the Colorado Mammoths and Beaujeaux Biscuit of the Montreal Militia, two teams who made it to the SMJHL finals. While in the end the Militia did pick up the W and the Four Star Cup for S37, but who picked up the W in this matchup? Biscuit had the upper hand on games played, 17 to Alexsandrov's 7.While this 10 game difference will skew our comparisons, regardless let's get to it. Biscuit allowed an average of 3.47 goals per game compared to Alexsandrov's 2.82 %. Biscuit will aim to get that percentage lower before he hits the SHL. Alex had a save % of 89.7% and Biscuit had a 86.6%. Alex had a better post season, that's for sure. Finally we get to shots facedl/allowed, Alex faced 194 shots this post season where biscuit faced 419 shots. Biscuit faced twice the amount of shots that Alex did while only having a worse save percentage by 3.1% Biscuit also only allowed 1.65 more goals a game despite the sheer amount of shots faced compared to Alex. Biscuit wins in the overall matchup but remember that in the end it doesn't even matter.
Task #2 - Make a case for who you think deserves to win Playoff MVP.
Requirements: At least 150 words and a minimum of 2 stats.
Inari Twain deserves the playoff MVP title without a doubt. He's head and shoulders above anybody else. He had an impressive series of games consisting of 11 goals (1st) and 11 assists (1st) which meant he averaged 1.14 points per twenty minutes of ice time. An impressive number no matter where you look on the scoring leaders table. Take this into account, he practically lead the Montreal Militia single handedly to the four star cup trophy this season. Twain has been lights out for the Militia in the playoffs this year , he turned his individual success into team success and if a player who brings his team together in such a fashion doesn't win the playoff MVP, then the award has lost all meaning in my eyes. Twain has likely had one of the top post seasons ever to be seen in SMJHL history and it's unlikely that we'll ever see anything like it ever again.
Task #3 - Write a goals highlight play by play for one series winning game, or make an infographic featuring stats from a series winning game.
Requirements: At least 200 words for written / at least 4 stats featured in at least 2 different ways for graphics (bar graphs, pie graphs, list of names, etc)
13.52 into the third quarter of what was going to be the final game of the SMJHL season ( depending on the result of this game of course ), Alexander McKinley wins a late face off against Daedric Heikennin in the Colorado Mammoth's zone, the puck stays in the region for the better part of 50 seconds before the Militia take grasp of it around 14:30. A quick two pass play sets up DeLon Ishii who after a quick deke gets into a promising position. A quick shoulder movement before letting off an accurate slap shot. PING! The pucks slaps off the top right corner of the frame of the goal before dropping down into the back of Aleksandr Aleksandrov's goal net. Ishli's second goal of the game but more importantly it's the decisive game winning goal of the night. Ishli's name a mere five minutes later is part of the history books, all this work, all these training sessions, all the tough day after games recovering lead to this pinnacle moment. The greatest moment of his career, lifting the Four Star Cup with his team, the Montreal Militia. Whether or not Ishli in the future achieves anything in his SHL career is irrelevant, he's a part of history now.
Task #4 - Come up with a playoff slogan for your team and a hashtag for three players on the team.
St Louis Scarecrows - Scare Blows Another Lead or Anuj Give Me Your Minutes
#AnujHasTooManyMinutes
#LavelleIsABust
#WhoIsTheDude????
Task #5 - Make a top 5 list for the finals. Top 5 goals, top 5 players, top 5 noteworthy people in the audience for one of the games, whatever you want. No word count, but if you just list 5 names, you won't get the full 2 tpe. Be a little creative.
Top 5 Scarecrow Game Fan Moments
#5 - Fully dressed fan as Scarecrow ( showed up to all 50 St Louis game this year dressed in a full body scarecrow suit, beard was dyed St Louis colors, has been a season ticket holder for the last 10 years )
#4 - Big Breasted St Louis Fan (single) Exactly what it says on the tin, it's a petite lady with massive jugs. She was only seen in 1/50 St Louis Scarecrows game but she made an impact.
#3 - Big Breasted St Louis Fans (group) A group of 4 friends who went to some St Louis away game late in the season, most likely a loss to be honest. They all had D' cups, one even with an E cup. Again they left a big impact.
#2 - Anuj Radia. Anuj Radia showed up undressed to the St Louis Scarecrows 31'st game, he rather oddly chose to sit in with the general fans instead of a bench seat or a private box. The media of course eat this up.
#1 - Stan Kroenke. Kroenke who is audibly hated in St Louis and Misssouri as a whole due to his recent moving of an NFL team from St Louis to fucking Los Angeles. He decided to show up to a St Louis Scarecrows game, the jumbo tron camera zoomed in and pinged his smug fucking face across the arena. He was promptly rushed and beaten to death before being taken outside and curb stomped. All in all a good day for Missouri.
DEADLINE FOR ALL TASKS: 7 full days after the final PBP is complete, 11:59PM EST.
As always, S37 SMJHL ROOKIES ONLY. S38 ROOKIES CANNOT EARN TPE FOR THESE TASKS.
