This season has seen the Montreal Militia embark upon an impressive run up the standings after starting the year in the basement. Now just a few points out of first place, it's important to take a look at those who have had the biggest impact for the Militia this season. There are two names who stick out as the team's MVPs, both on- and off-the-ice. Not only have these players led the team in scoring, they also serve as the team's management, making the personnel decisions that have led to the current roster build-up. 

First up is Connor Tanner. The defenceman-turned-forward has been scoring at an incredible rate this year, as he has already guaranteed point-per-game production by seasons' end with 50 points through 40 games. Tanner has potted 20 goals already this season, making him a huge threat in the offensive zone. Those goals have come through hard work, as his shooting percentage is not particularly high but he has absolutely peppered goaltenders with shots, leading the Militia with 173 this season. That's an average of over four shots per game! 

Artemi Berezin has also been of vital importance to the Militia. Not far behind Tanner, Berezin has recorded 43 points – 10 ahead of the next highest Militia scorer. With 57 hits, Berezin is a force to be reckoned with, and is also the Militia's weapon-of-choice on the power play, as he leads the team with 8 power play goals.
