When people think of top line guys, cream of the crop, most eyes go towards scorers. My eyes jump somewhere else, to the Defensemen, the bullies on the ice. None other than John Grossman Jr. has done everything he can while playing for the Prince George Firebirds. Through 43 games played, he leads the league in hits with 141, and is tied for 7th on shots blocked at 53. This man is willing to throw his body all over the ice and take the beatings as well as dish them out, ranking tied for first in penalty minutes at 117. John Grossman Jr. throws his body on the line night in and night out to insure that there are wins coming for Prince George. One thing that he also brings to the table, is through 43 games, he is tied for first with 1 fight won. He is even tied for first with 1 empty net goal. John Grossman Jr. is everywhere on the ice, and for Prince George to continue to succeed they are going to need their big defenseman to continue to do everything to keep clear their net and throw his body on the line to keep the wins coming in. PGF loves you, John Grossman Jr., or at least the goalies do.
