Multi-sport athletes are not all that uncommon in today's world it seems like. There have been so many people that go to college on dual-sport scholarships, or get drafted into two major sports. Thinking of Thomas Rose playing two sports always makes me wonder how he would fare when he was not wearing skates or carrying around a hockey stick. I definitely think that Thomas Rose would want to make the transition to baseball over any other sport, as it comes with a very big paycheck and it was his second sport before he transitioned to hockey full time. Rose is a fairly big guy right now, at 6'3" and 215, the native Swissman would more than likely play Center Field because of the range he has with his feet. As much as he prides himself on his speed on the ice , he is just as quick on dry land and has the athletics to be a pretty solid outfielder. He still has a very strong arm and can track a ball very well, and although he has not swung a baseball bat in years, he was used to seeing 90+ MPH pitches before he went full on Hockey 24/7. While I do not think that Thomas Rose could put up Mike Trout numbers, I do think that he could be an all star in the sport of baseball and could hold his own in the league.
