Honestly being tied is the most tense. Being up one is stressful in itself because of all the HODLing and the other team is usually pushing hard for the equalizer but even if they score you're back at even ground and can go take the lead again. Being down one is stressful, but you've got nothing to lose. You can balls to the walls it and worse case you lose by two. The humanity! But when it's all even - it's do or die and next goal wins. There's no room for error and no do-overs. You're either the team putting it in the back of the net and rising to glory or you're the team sitting there heartbroken and defeated at the end of the game. You've played your heart our for 60+ minutes and you come away with zilch. Give me a goal differential one way or another for my heart's sake please - I beg you. I'm getting too old for this shit.
