![]() IIHF Federation Head froggie Code: Written Task: What activities, sports, or games do you have prepared for your group of kids to teach them the values your player lives by? Are you trying to do meaningful team building exercises with lessons that last a lifetime, or something stupid like trying to sneak the kids into the back door of a casino? Your call. Go wild. (150+ words) There's nothing like playing hockey at an outdoor rink, and Aksel works with the youth group and the Rage crew to book an outdoor rink for their event. They do the usual, the same things that Aksel did with the kids in Quebec City, but he's in the big leagues now so he gets a little more flashy. Redacted, who was nice enough to join, is more than happy to block all of Aksel's shots after letting the kids get most of theirs in. It breaks into kind of a scrimmage, and parents and passersby hop the boards to join - one who'd packed their goalie gear on the slim chance they'd be able to use it. One of the kids gets one past the dad goalie, a slick move between her legs, and they lift her into the air to celebrate. It winds down after that, some people heading home, others sticking around for pictures and autographs, but Aksel thinks it's a good start to the season. |
