Marco Barengrub was born in Estonia, a country not well known to produce good hockey players. It's such a small nation and sports like soccer and basketball are way more popular with the young kids. But Marco never forget the first time he experienced a SHL hockey game. It was a pre season game between Toronto and Hamilton. He remember watching a clumsy defenseman named Ti-Guy Emond who was by far the worst player on the ice. But the guy could lay a hit, an Hamilton player went through the glass in the 2nd period and the game had to end. Marco tried to get an autograph after the match and Ti-Guy was the most surprised of the two. Emond ask why him? Young Barengrub explained to him it was his first ever hockey game and that hit was the most awesome thing he ever saw. A few days later, Marco started to learn how to skate and the rest his history.
