7. I watched a stream the other day. I'll admit I didn't watch the whole thing, but I was pretty interested in how the Whalers would do against the Anchorage Armada in the actual live game where they show the cartoon players on the ice. It was pretty interesting to be honest, I have never played FHM so I didn't know what to expect. I've played games like Football manager before and they have a really detailed match sim engine, so I was curious if it would look similar. It really didn't. But thats ok, because it got the job done. The first thing I noticed was that the Vancouver home ice was green. I immediately thought "Why? and how?" LOL. I didn't expect there to be green ice. Maybe they used food coloring to really show that the color green is a part of the Whalers identity. Seeing the green ice made the stream memorable and also made me curious if any other teams have interesting design choices like that. What kept me around the stream, though, was watching our team absolutely beat down the Armada. I think it was like 9 to nothing. I enjoyed watching Ryan Quintana Green fly around the ice and provide a couple of assists to help the Whalers cause. Seeing our team succeed on home green ice was pretty cool!
