I would say you have to take a page out of Jackie Moon’s book from Semi Pro. On the opening night of the season, one member of the team (randomly drawn out of a hat) will be put in a cage prior to the game and will have to wrestle a panther.

In addition to enjoying the spectacle, all fans in attendance will benefit from 50% off food and beverages for the duration of the cage match, and then all prices will revert back to normal once the opening ceremony begins. This will hopefully incentivize people to show up early, eat and drink more than they would and then have a great atmosphere ready for the game once it’s gets started.

Obviously there is risk of injury and therefore the team is going to pay the selected player an additional $2 million for his troubles of getting into the cage with a panther, against their will since it’s going to be randomly drawn out of a hat.
