All Jack St. Clair wants from his Edmonton Blizzard team mates is to get open so he can find them with the puck. Forwards, defenseman, goalie, it doesn't matter. Get open. St. Clair will find them with a nice pass and sets up scoring chances all day!. Best way to help out your defensemen is to control the puck in the offensive zone and keep putting it behind the opponents goalie and into the net. As someone who came up through the systems playing strictly offensive, at the SHL level it takes a little bit more than scoring to be successful. So Jack worked on getting stronger, positioning, and awareness. Now he is like a third defenseman out there helping out all over the ice. Like I said though, best defense is a good offense. JSC will strip opponents of the puck and take it back up the ice helping out the D by keeping the puck out of the D zone.
