OPTION 2 - Being Forward with the Forwards

Written Task: Tell me what your player wants the forwards on their team to do to help them out. If your player is a forward, tell me what you do to help your defensemen succeed.


Well the obvious answer would to be score more points! Won't have to play defense if we're just ahead on the scoreboard by a mile! But in reality like any good offense time of possession is the key to helping your defense! If our forwards can consistently keep the puck across the blue line and in the opponents territory, it will naturally help keep the Defensemen fresh and ready for when they have to do their part. While scoring quick is flashy, wearing down the opposing team by consistently keeping them on their back feet will provide dividends as the game inches onward. Anytime the puck crosses into your territory, and every shot the opposing team get is just another chance for them to score. At the end of the day if the other team can't score then you really only need 1 offensive score to get the win! Winning 1-0 is still a win and that's why Forwards should help out us defensemen!
