Inge Baardsen had an interesting rookie season in the SMJHL. He came into the league expected to be a player who was focused on the offensive side of the puck, laying on the goals for teammates. He turned out to be a much more physical player than anyone expected. He isn’t the biggest, most imposing player on the ice, but he proved that he can throw his body around with the best of them, racking up 130 hits with limited ice time, as a member of the 3rd forward line in Regina. He did still have some decent offensive output, considering his limited ice time, with a nicely rounded 10G, 20A for 30 Pts. Going forward, hopefully Baardsen can end up with a bit more ice time, maybe some time on the penalty kill or power play, rack up some more points, and hope even more hits! First, there is the SHL Draft to contend with, and the WJC.
