Wow, I can’t believe it’s been one full season already!
Feels like just yesterday I strapped on my pads for the first time and flailed around in the ground as my dad took slap shots at me. My rookie season was great! I took in the starting role as a rookie and helped lead my team to a playoff berth. I surpassed the expectations I set for myself, I didn’t even think I was gonna be the starter. I think the moment I’ll remember the most is being awarded the Yukon Malamutes “Mount Logan Award” for being the best goalie on the team. That’s my first piece of hardware for the trophy cabinet and I’m hoping there’s plenty more to come. Another moment I’ll remember well is draft night. I had to wait awhile to hear my name get called, but the wait was worth it. I’ll be a steal of the draft when I retire a Chicago Syndicates legend.
