Tip Toasty focuses equally on the mental aspect of the game as he does the physical. The mental side of training is important to succeeding on the physical side, too. The mental edge of wanting to compete, wanting to be better, wanting to work hard creates focus for the physical training. Being able to quiet the distractions, find the motivation, and focus on what's needed is key to Toasty's training. Working with trainers who strategize the best ways to progress physically, and creating trust in them, has been a difficult aspect for Toasty, who tends to work better solo in other aspects of personal growth. Toasty uses meditation and breathing to train mental focus and deep reflection. One of his biggest goals heading into the next season is discipline and staying out of the penalty box, which requires this exact type of training in focus and self-control.
