SHL Awards Team - Mid Season Preview

I'm sure some of the frustration comes from that I just brought this up two weeks ago when half of the direct quotes/justifications from voting members referenced Justin Time's wins as he almost swept over Denebor despite the latter's dominance in everything not tied to the team in front of him.

I do think there's a consensus that wins shouldn't be considered, unfortunately I think that the committee doesn't always vote along those same guidelines and there's concern about that.

I don't see a trend of wins being over represented in the award recipients. Looking back through the FHM era, the McBride winner has had the lead league in wins slightly less than half the time (13/27), and in several of those cases they were tied with another nominee. GSAA and SV% have been the strongest indicators of the McBride winner over that same period of time.
