Inge Baardsen isn’t really a showman or much of a talker, in a leadership sense. He much prefers to do his talking on the ice, whether in training, where he sets the example by working as hard as he can and hoping younger players step up and match his ethic, or on the ice proper. He likes to work hard for his linemates and is happy to get his hands dirty, doing the dirtier work, while his teammates capitalise on it. He will forecheck, backcheck, try and win that puck, especially if he can get physical and throw a hit. We know he had it in him in the minors, where he was SMJHL hit leader two seasons in a row. He doesn’t throw his weight around nearly so much now, but he will still drop a hip or leave a shoulder in, enough to take out the opponent and get his team fired up!
