Holl is here to inspire and inspire he does. Maybe not one for major speeches or giving a good locker room talk but he plays with the upmost intensity. Defensemen are in a special position for that too. Putting your literal body on the line to block shots, take and give hits, maybe even a fight or two, but it all reflects on the team and how they react. Holl knows that and it's why he goes out and blocks all of the shots and throws as many hits around as he can. He knows that these moments of the game can become goals and a goal against your team can really take the wind out of their sails.

We've all seen it where the ice just gets absolutely tilted and it comes down to those key moments and big plays. Holl sees them instead as opportunity to make sure his team stays gassed up and ready to play the long hard game.
