1. Trivia [+3 TPE]
VW: Grub 2. Short Prompt [+3 TPE] I think San Francisco had the easier time to get to the Finals. They first had to go through Winnipeg, who is a team that despite their very promising upcoming rebuild, was an easy foe. Winnipeg only made the playoffs on a second half of the season run with help. Then Seattle and New Orleans, which was not easy but also not as hard as what Tampa Bay had. Seattle was ranked 5th overall and New Orleans fourth. On the Tampa Bay side, as an #11 seed, they had to face #3 Philadelphia and #2 Atlanta. Talk about a hard path! Throw in #8th ranked New England and Tampa Bay had to upset every round to get to where they are. I don't want to do the research, but it would be hard to find a team that had to go through such high seeds to get a Cup (including #1 San Francisco if it comes to it). Maybe New England a few years ago as like a #12 seed, but it would be crazy if TBB won their first cup after beating the #1 through #3 seeds in the playoffs. Were they just hustling everyone??? 151 words 5. Short Prompt [+2 TPE] My heart says it is better to have good defensemen, but my head says better forwards are the way to go. FHM is all about firepower (and luck) and the high skilled forwards will get you there. Defense stats are sometimes a crapshoot and we know goaltending is up in the air every time. I think if you can be like San Francisco and have great forwards and an FHM lucky goalie like Justin Time, it will help you win every time. I love defense because that is my background, but it really is the top TPE forwards that bring home the hardware. 103 words ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Credit to enigmatic, Merica, tweedledunn, and jaypc8237 for sigs |
