![]() IIHF Head Office Fantasy Flame Out
1. CW Trivia
Word: Cheese 14. 159 words, +3 TPE I think the chaos works very well for the IIHF where we can see a lot of different teams doing well from season to season rather than having juggernauts that would undoubtedly emerge over the course of a series. I personally love the IIHF for being so crazy and unpredictable. I am sure the managers or federation heads are not so happy with it if they have a really skilled team, but I think it is exciting for the smaller federations as you can always say that there is a chance. After all, Winnipeg beat San Francisco in the first game of their series in the most recent playoffs. Imagine if that was a single game elimination. The uproar and memes alone would be worth it. Of course, I think single elimination works better in the IIHF format for this reason. We want those Cinderella stories. In the SHL, we want the crème de la crème to emerge victorious. 15. 163 words, +3 TPE So the San Francisco Pride have done it again and find themselves lifting that Challenge Cup that has become oh so familiar to them. Really you cannot be too upset at them. They have dominated both the main season and the playoffs and their players like Logan Webb and Dominik Winters were just the tips of the iceberg that sank the hopes of every other team. My favorite part of the series might be game 2 as the saying goes that it is not a series until someone loses at home. The previous game was a close one with only a one goal difference, so Tampa coming out and winning the next one fairly decisively made me think that this could be a brawl of a series. Of course after going down 1-2 in the series, the San Francisco Pride locked in so that was a little moot. Better luck next year to the Barracuda as two in a row has to sting. ![]() Shoutout TheOPSquid for the Sig
