SHL Player—soon to be Agent— Tom Corcoran has seemingly proven himself worthy as a future provider of talent for the SHL. Regarding himself though, he is not getting any younger and is nearing Regression. And with little hardware to show for such a disappointing career, Corcoran is starting to look for new talent to represent him. These are the possible next players.



<div align="center"> Center - Frederik Zavstrom



Defense, defense, defense. Although that is not the position Zavstrom plays, that's about the only thing that comes to mind when scouts watch him play. Zavstrom was born in Västerås, Sweden to Swedish parents, then moved to Cologne, Germany at a very young age, giving him dual citizenship in SWE/GER for International Ice Hockey events. Zavstrom does not have the offensive talent that his father, Patrik, had, but has very strong shutdown-center qualities. So much so, that Zavstrom was able to completely shut down the explosive Team USA at the U18 tournament in Davos just a few months ago. It was at said tournament, that Zavstrom began to become a point of interest for some SHL/NWJHL scouts. "Frederik Zavstrom is so dominant in the defensive aspects of his game, that there is no real SHL comparison for the kid. The best way to describe him, is to call him the Roberto Martucci of defense"—said one SHL scout. Right now, there is a strong likelihood that Zavstrom will jump across the pond to the NWJHL, although when that exactly happens, is uncertain.


Defenseman - Ondrej Ravchitikov



For a defenseman, Ondrej Ravchitikov sure doesn't exactly fit his job title well. Ravchitikov doesn't exactly excel in his own zone. Out of his own zone however, is a completely different tale. Ravchitikov is a wizard when it comes to Powerplay and 4v4 situations. What Ravchitikov lacks in size (5'11" 180 lbs.) and physical play, he makes up for in offensive output and creativeness with the puck. In the Russian junior league (MHL), Ravchitikov registered as one of the few PPG defensemen, with 38 goals and 23 assists in 50 games. Despite his slight frame, Ravchitikov can fire an absolute rocket from the point, which accounted for many of his 38 goals. That being said, the Bratislava-born Ravchitikov doesn't possess the strong enough work ethic, or defensive aplomb to become a franchise defender or top pairing defender for an SHL team. Once Ondrej makes the commitment to the NWJHL, scouts will get a better look at his SHL projection, but his highest upside would be a top 4 defender, while he is most likely to become a bottom pairing PP QB.


Right Wing - Philippe de Croix



de Croix is not your typical French-Canadian player. Known more for his fighting prowess than actual hockey skills, de Croix is the least likely of the clients to make the jump to the SHL. Fighting in the SHL has mostly died out, with the last major fighter, Greg Dufour, fading into obscurity. The league has evolved to a point where fisticuffs have been unofficially phased out. de Croix may be the best fighter the CHL has ever seen, but would be scrambling just for 4th line duties if he entered the NWJHL draft.
