This presents the race for first place in the SHL in the perspective of the Edmonton Blizzard. The teams that will have the magic number of zero means they are eliminated from first place and they are of no danger for the Blizzard. If Blizzard wins 21 games or win 20 games and lose once in the shootout, they will clinch the first place (assuming that Toronto wins all their remaining games)

The Playoff Race

This chart will determine who is eliminated from the playoff race, how much more needed to be eliminated from the playoff race and how much it takes to clinch a playoff spot. This will also provide information if they can still achieve a certain league seeding.

# - Number of games required by the team to win to eliminate the other team out of contention of the seed or to tie them in points.
EL - Team is eliminated from securing this seed
NC - Team cannot secure this seed without the other team losing some games.
