I just remember my seasons in juniors and my favourite part about it was every player was in the same position. Nothing but the NWJHL players, makes the Draft more important and gives the power back to the NWJHLers when it comes to determining wins and losses, and makes developing their players more important; which I think creates great teams and great members coming through the system. I like your idea but I'd hope we'd only use it as a last resort. ![]() ![]() Registered S10 Challenge Cup Champion Quote:Originally posted by wadeyb@Mar 25 2012, 10:46 PM I know what you mean, I also loved that it was only juniors and no one else during my NWJHL-season... But if the recruitment drive goes like it did last year (and since we've both already farmed our EHM-leagues, it's not unlikely :lol ![]() ![]() Registered Posting Freak Quote:Originally posted by OcAirlines@Mar 25 2012, 04:50 PM Join random EHM leagues and offer trades on the condition they sign up  ![]() ![]() Registered S10 Challenge Cup Champion Quote:Originally posted by wadeyb@Mar 25 2012, 10:51 PM Only if I get to destroy the Leafs  ![]() Registered Posting Freak Quote:Originally posted by OcAirlines@Mar 25 2012, 04:53 PM Low blow. ![]() ![]() Registered S10 Challenge Cup Champion
So what do the NWJHL-commishes think?

With the Recruitment Drive hopefully coming to an end within the next 1-2 weeks, do you think you will stick to that idea Lazyeye... Or doe you already have some other plans in place?

Honestly I recommend Winter's Idea. Its better than lame ass CPU players and basically what we could do is that keep the dummies for next seasons and stuff and have the GMs just keep like 5 dummies and recycle them through the league. Keeps the recruitment drive #s a little down to keep them easier to attain and still get the junior league off to a start that can be linked up with the SHL..

Do you think you gonna use this idea, or another one, to fill up the NWJHL-rosters?

Winter for President <3 I Think So
:ahh!: Wonderful idea i agree we should do this ![]() Registered S11 Challenge Cup Champion
I have just looked and was just wondering what happened to that idea.
I always don´t like it when you see the roster with about 40% CPU players. Of course recruitment is the most important thing, but we should still think about Winters idea imo. And looks like everyone liked it. Everyone in the SHL should be able to create a dummy (if he want to and only in a specific dummy section), then there could be something like a dummydraft (after the NWJHL draft). And the GMs are able to change their CPU players in dummy players. It´s also more funny as everyone has another build, so the GMs also have to look what playertype is fitting better to the team. We should think about that. I don´t think that will too much of more work. We will also need some dummies for the olympics, maybe we can connect it with these dummies for the NWJHL. So we can kill two birds with one stone. See rule 6.2.: http://theshl.b1.jcink.com/index.php?showtopic=10002&st=0 ![]() Registered S10, S12, S17 Challenge Cup Champion Quote:Originally posted by joecool37@Jun 30 2012, 10:39 PMHonestly I really like the idea. I think we should really implement it for sure. ![]() Registered Posting Freak
If you're worried about how much the dummies might shine, just give them a starting TPE penalty. 10-15 less points than a regular player. Maybe more. Make them better than CPUs, but worse than juniors.
