An alternitve solution to injuries to combat huge minutes, could be adding a rule where no 1 player can have more than X% of time on any set of 5v5 lines.
I agree especially when you are the GM giving your own player 29 mins a night.
if anything i would like to see endurance mean more so forwards aren't playing 30 mins a game (i can't name a forward IRL who has ever played 30 mins a game).
it just doesn't make sense to me that teams playing the fuck out of their top lines are competitive with deep teams. that's just me 0.02 tho

I understand Manhattan's or even my teams reasoning, I hate playing my players over 24mins a night personally but when you have 3 active players on your roster what can you do.
But why the fuck is Minny doing it? one of the deepest teams in the league.

i really like nuck's idea that a player can't be over X% of TOI in the 5v5 lines

Never more than one dab, never.
I know Bojo will likely give me shit over this, but even the individual leaderboards, the face off one for example has a lot of people much higher than last years leaderboard. I was hovering about 54-55 last season in 1st, currently in second at like 59% and 10th is at like 55% now.
Maybe it's not so much points as it is the scale working in, it's been a few seasons, a lot of players from the Season 20 draft just regressed, that took a lot from the top end of the league and allowed the ones right behind to catchup a bit more, and with the scale much less punishing early on, it's even easier to do.
With injuries, what would happen if you put the teams prospects/send downs, as healthy scratches and someone on the team got injured on Day 2 of a 3 day sim. Would one of those players replace them in the lines?
If so, it takes away the need to redo lines THAT day. Some leeway would be needed with players playing in juniors and on the big league team the same day, so basically im asking is if this is even somewhat doable.

But if your 1st line center got hurt, would the send down not be slotted into that spot by default?
That would cause some serious issues if the game was a playoff decider.

Do I have you this frightened already?
Yes, this would be a poor thing to happen, but I imagine playoff crunch would be a sim a day as usual for last few.
Or, be realistic and you miss the playoffs cause of it.

Why da fuq should it matter why we're doing it? ) clearly it's working. 1st in the East, 2nd in the league, 2nd in league scoring. Why the hell would you want to limit lineup creativity even more than it already is? Nobody on Minnesota is compaining about ice time. Most every active is getting 20+ minutes a game. And yes Garbonzo is playing close to 30, but his defensive line is only set to 40% which is identical to the 2nd line. Yes he's double shifted as a 3rd pairing guy too but almost every team does that. The forwards are all getting the same amount of ice time except two. Gerrard is getting 15% less ice time than everyone else, Reay is getting 20% less. So the remaining forewards all have identical even strength time.
You play your best players as much as you can, that's why Duncan Keith sees almost 30 minutes a game, same with Suter, Doughty and Weber.
Thank you to My boys @Merica and @Ragnar for the lovely sigs!

But you kinda proved a point in that last line.
In a 30 team league only a handful of players league wide can play those kind of minutes, be productive and play all season. The entire point of minumum team rosters is to some what even out playing time and avoid players playing 25 plus minutes.
Yes I am one of the players who is logging huge minutes this year but I also think it's unrealistic to see so many players log insane minutes every night.

But that's just moronic imo... I work my ass off to have the best player on my team. Then get told sorry, you can only play this many minutes a game because some scrub who never updates also needs so many minutes. Screw that if you want more minutes make a better player, if you don't want to make a better player and want more minutes, he a whiny bitch and get sent to a rebuilding team. There's no need whatsoever for a rule that limits lineup creativity, makes endurance basically useless, and makes it so having the best player in the league means jack shit because you can only play as much as lesser players
