rofl. experts were a joke this year. career year on a cup finalist team and they drop me down 2? And they had nothing to back up their rating other than "attitude problems?" rofl

I made that up. It's not like the experts actually put in their two cents for each of their ratings.

For those of you guys who are annoyed by the ratings this year: look how many people voted. That is four guys with a rating of 1-5 for each player. One down rating could drop you down a ton of spots.

Few things people are seeming to forget. Holding steady is not a bad thing, large drops are due to new players emerging and small rises if any will likely hold steady next season.

A lot of Season 20-21 players made the list as new members and were ranked quite high, causing some of the past top 25 to drop a bit from the looks of it.

List is definitely a little weird this year though.

Make the ratings out of 10, so the final rankings are more accurate.

Yep, defensive defensemen are totally unappreciated in this league. They could create trophies for that sort of thing like they have the Dar for forwards. But it seems unless you put up those nice shiny points, no one wants to give a 4-5 it (I gave one of those two for certain) because stopping goals at least for me is just as valued as putting them in.

Maybe the league will do this this season?

There isn't a stat which definitively measures defensive play.

Hitting an +/- aren't that at all, unless that is just what we equate with defensive play in this league.

Is hits taken how many times you get hit and lose the puck or how many hits you absorb while being able to keep the puck
