30. (S20) LW (Minnesota Chiefs) - Pedro Sarantez || +24
Grade: 17/20
Past Seasons: S22-75, S23-54

Pedro Sarantez starts up the top-30 by moving up a big 24 spots after his 48 point season with the Minnesota Chiefs. The Winger was instrumental in their late push to 2nd in the conference, and was just short of Niklas Stryker in goals scored with 22. He was 7th in the league in goals scored and 5th among left wingers as well. This is all despite playing on the second line of a very powerful offensive unit in Minnesota. Playoffs were not his strong suit last season, as he only had two points in 6 games during their first round loss to New England. Sarantez is starting to show he is one of the best players in the league, and if he gets his playoff performance in order, he could be a superstar.

29. (S20) D (West Kendall Platoon) - Bojo Biscuit || +7
Grade: 17/20
Past Seasons: S22-64, S23-36

At number 29 is Platoon defenseman Bojo Biscuit. The defenseman continues to rise in the rankings, getting to the top-30 for the first time and increasing his point totals from a year prior, if not that much. He scored 5 goals and 30 points on defense, leading his team among defensive scoring, as well as blocking the most shots on the team with 80. Bojo has continued to show his physical play as well, with 171 PIMs on the year, 45 of them through fights. Is Bojo continues he will be the most feared bruiser defenseman in the SHL.

28. (S10) C (Winnipeg Jets) - Terry Bullis || Even
Grade: 17/20
Past Seasons: S21-61, S22-82, S23-28

At number 28 is Terry Bullis, center for the Winnipeg Jets. Bullis continued to keep his offensive numbers up this season, scoring 20 goals and 50 points, keeping in line with last year's point totals. His shooting percentage increased despite his minutes going down, and was only 3 points shy of teammate Onoprienko in the scoring race. The team was unable to make the playoffs last season, but Bullis has been able to keep his play elite despite his age. Time may start to show next season for the center, but he won't be moving down any time soon until that happens.

27. (S16) RW (Minnesota Chiefs) - Jarkko Kallestrom || Even
Grade: 17/20
Past Seasons: S20-44, S21-36, S22-45, S23-27

At 27 is Jarkko Kallestrom, who had a huge season to prove why he was 27th on this list last year. He was nearly a point per game on the year, scoring 18 goals and 51 points, as well as winning 51% of the many faceoffs he took. He was a great performer for the Chiefs, finishing second in scoring, and with this performance, it may take a bit for him to fall from this list considering last season. All in all, Kallestrom is playing incredibly well for the Chiefs, and is slated to do so again.

26. (S21) D (Los Angeles Panthers) - Fredrik Wastlund || +27
Grade: 17/20
Past Seasons: S22-88, S23-53

Rising up a ton to number 26 is young defenseman Fredrik Wastlund. Wastlund's point totals dropped a bit this year, but thanks to his strong defensive play for the Panthers, he made it to the top-30 despite that. He was also able to provide for the Panthers while defensive teammate Bottas had a brutal offensive year. With another 30+ point season in the books, he is really proving his worth as a top-tier defenseman in the league. He may have a long way to go before he is considered the ultimate best, but he is on pace to do so once he hits his prime.

25. (S16) RW (Minnesota Chiefs) - Tom Sawyer || +23
Grade: 17/20
Past Seasons: S20-49, S21-54, S22-52, S23-48

At number 25 is winger Tom Sawyer, who made a big improvement going into Season 23, taking control of the Toronto North Stars and leading the team with 23 goals and 45 points. While this is not a high number when comparing him to the rest of the league, he was performing with a team that did not give him much offensive support for his point totals to really thrive. Tom Sawyer is now playing for the Chiefs this season, and with his abilities and with talent both up front and on defense, he could battle for a point per game season.

24. (S15) LW (Minnesota Chiefs) Lionel Byrde || +11
Grade: 17/20
Past Seasons: S20-38, S21-30, S22-33, S23-35

Lionel Byrde is number 24 on this list, another Winger looking to see his numbers improve in a new location. The winger was offered a 21 million dollar salary for this season, which means he is going to have a lot of eyes on him to perform, especially after a sub-par 36 point season on the Texas Renegades. This makes his position in this list a little iffy, but he could pull a Kallestrom and prove why he is back in the top-30 with a monster performance for the Chiefs.

23. (S10) LW (West Kendall Platoon) - Ivo Willems || +1
Grade: 17/20
Past Seasons: S20-11, S21-12, S22-12, S23-24

Willems is at number 23 on this list, remaining as consistent as ever with a 21 goal, 42 point season, leading the way for the West Kendall Platoon. The winger is hoping to see that continue with a role on the West Kendall Platoon next year, a role that he appears to be ready for in a quest to make the playoffs once again. Willems has only a few years left before he starts to seriously regress, but he has joined a team where that regression could potentially be minimized.

22. (S12) D/LW (Texas Renegades) - Shawn Velevra || +10
Grade: 17/20
Past Seasons: S20-36, S21-28, S22-19, S23-33

At number 22 is Shawn Velevra, who surprisingly improved on this list despite a way down year offensively. Voters definitely looked at the name instead of the numbers with this guy, because he was way down in production and did not have a good season, particularly by his standards. 28 points is good for a lot of defenseman, but not a guy who has been in the top-20 before, and was only top-40 last year with a 46 point season. Velevra's good graces with the voting committee will not last, however, if he repeats this kind of performance next season. Guaranteed.

21. (S11) LW (Edmonton Blizzard) - Kyle Keenan || +1
Grade: 17/20
Past Seasons: S20-26, S21-31, S22-15, S23-22

At number 21 is Blizzard winger Kyle Keenan, who slightly improved on the list with a slightly downgraded regular season. He went from leading the team in scoring with 45 points to finishing 4th on the team with 40 points, tied with a player way down on this list, Theo Kane. His playoff numbers were also not all that great, with 9 points in 20 games during a deep playoff run, once again tied with teammate Theo Kane. The depth has been beneficial for the Blizzard, but does that mean Keeenan will no longer be able to maintain these point totals?
