No Nerves around

I am officially back early from my sisters Wedding, I found out I am a UFA, as I was never tendered an offer.

Therefore I am a UFA, obviously as a I stated in not looking to be thrust into a starting job, or even a back up. I'd be more than happy to play starting role in Vancouver next season.

I'm not looking for big cash, or term. Just a chance to prove myself as a starter in this league one day. I want to be a great goalie for a franchise.

I finally have some cash in my bank, and will be writing more media so I have cash in the bank for awhile. That should help me develop quicker, as I only did activity checks and PTs last season.

Looking forward to hearing from interested teams I will likely make my official choice within the next few days, unless I have an offer that blows me away

Wanna be starter? Go to Buffalo or Portland. No other options.

Actually, you were offered a qualifying offer of $3.0mil for 1 season. It was a little late, but we're allowing it because we were still clarifying the rules of RFA.

You can test the market and see if find an offer you like. If you don't find one, you can sign the qualifying offer with Seattle.

If you sign a contract with another team, Seattle has a chance to either match it or take the pick.

Not right away, one day. Lots of guys are aging in the league. If Buffalo wants me to be a starter off the hop I will, but I know I have lots of work to do to prove myself to be a starter in the bigs. But I know I can be one day

I was told by another team they didn't qualify me? And wouldn't I have to say no to the QO in order for it to even be considered? Cuz they never once approached me with an offer. In the NHL a QO is 10%(which this one is) 1 year deal(which is it), but has to be an offer and I reject it. In order for it to count

You don't have to sign the qualifying offer. It's there if you want it if you don't find anything on the open market.

Seems silly that I got offers before the GM of my team got in a QO. No offense but that shouldn't happen. If FA opens before I'm QO then it shouldn't be allowed. Love GOB i hate leaving him like I am, he took a chance on me. Sadly I wasn't a fit for the team.

That being said if a QO happens after FA opens it shouldn't happen

Usually once FA opens RFAs do become UFAs, but like I said, we were clarifying the RFAs rules and we let it slide this time.

It's not ideal and the timing isn't great, I know.

After he received an offer as an UFA, having gone untendered before the beginning of FA

With the rules that have been posted for the past year, my entire time in the league, he would have been an UFA. Why is ignorance of posted rules an excuse?

Really screwing over an active player with your ruling here.

Another GREAT move from the Head Office =D>

Alright, that's my bad. GoB didn't tender Howard or NoNerves before FA opened, making them UFAs.
