what is an MVP

Tbh Tanner I don't understand what GVT means, what's the difference between GVT and P/20?
It stands for Goals Versus Threshold. Basically, it uses league averages to make a hypothetical "average" player for each team. Your GVT is a comparison of your team's goal differential with your player and with the hypothetical player. If it's positive, you're helping your team's goal differential. If it's negative, you're hurting.

Since it compares things to goal differentials and takes into account if your team is scoring or being shat on, it's designed not to rate people badly just because their team is suffering.

It's not perfect, but it's a neat way of generally seeing how much a player contributes to their team, rather than just comparing points between players on teams that are doing very differently overall.

The value in most valuable player is too subjective. Especially for a team sport

Take all front runners for the MVP, replace with all 40 stat robots.

Which ever team does poorest, that's your MVP

Wait, wasn't the main issue against Manhattan that they kind of fucked themselves over long term for players they overvalued?

How does one season where they overachieved negate those concerns?

That's okay, I also broke their 22 year cup curse.

Interestingly enough, Seattle hasn't won since I left either, I guess McZ wasn't enough by himself.

Solid comparison ignoring the fact that a rebuilding team should have more prospects and picks. I'm just calling out the fact that one season of overachieving doesn't mean your team is going to be a powerhouse for the future.

Just my 2 cents on this topic.

Vlad had a MVP worthy season in every other season than this ,especially if you consider his team.

BUT Nuck currently has one of the greatest seasons ever by a Defender , VLAD would win the MVP if not for Nuck.

Nuck just had a phenomal season and deserves the MVP trophy the most. Imagine if he would not have double the amount of PIMS every other 50+ point scorer has and yeah hit did not block many shots but he hit the living shit out of everyone.

You could definitely say that VLAD was a huge reason that MAN made the playoffs.

Just my opinion on this

Not to mention that nobody in their right mind wants to play for Manhattan now with the fucking idiocy in the front office Smile) Smile)

Pray the prospects and new members pan out because the established members will stay away from that dumpster fire.

Yes I'll eat my bias and admit to everyone that Vlad had an incredible season, that's undeniable, it's just unfortunate for him that it happened THIS season, when Nuck decided to go apeshit as a defenseman. And the fact everyone hates him.

Merica would be an MVP if not for Morley.

Are you fucking joking? McZ won me a Cup and broke a TWENTY-THREE year curse in New England, how could you possibly forget that? Rolleyes
