I completely agree and think the obvious fix is to make every task worth cash, rather than points.

you'd need more phurchaseable items or less restriction on how much of something we can spend per week then because if it stats the way it is and they are changed to cash instead of points money will just be piling up and not being used essentially making these tasks pointless

Umm actually not as you would think Mczhrl is set to break 700TPE in his 3rd year at his pace his 4th year and your 7th he iwll be close to you. Im almost 700TPE myself and thought the same as you till i watched it grow

Weekly graphics as a point task was a bad idea, they should have simply been cash based. We've also had too many uncapped PTs recently, and I'm sure it is because of the update scale being implemented. This negates the purpose of the update scale. Honestly, I'd like to make the update scale even harsher.

let me explain the difference between this and a PT league.

Graphics need to go to money imo Along with a bunch of the uncapped PT. Uncapped TPE should be once in a while not all the time, maybe keep twitter as an uncapped point but for things like Soccer, and Football make it a payout to everybody.

I've earned 20 TPE since I joined and I'm pretty active here. I've done every point task I have seen except soccer because I know nothing about it. Maybe that gives everyone more of an idea of how quickly/slowly rookies are earning TPE.

I should add that includes 6 TPE for training and 1 for equipment.

Here's the thing that people are overlooking.

We want rookies to be good. We want them to be able to compete with the rest of the league. There's no reason someone in their second year shouldn't be able to have as good a season as someone in their fifth year. That's the way real hockey works too.

The difference between this and a true point task league is that you start out with a solid points base here, first of all. And second of all, you don't have to spend a lot of time earning points to be a good player.

You can do simple tasks like predictions tasks, like the weekly football one, like Twitter, etc., plus spend your contract money, and put out a real good player without spending hours on end here.

That's what we want by non-PT. It's never been about not having point tasks, I have no problem having point tasks that allow people to get better.

I want this to be a league where anyone can have fun and anyone can have success and enjoy it even if they only spend an hour a week sometimes here, or 10 minutes a day. And I think that's exactly what we have.

If anything, I argue we need more tasks like the football one (basic point giveaways for activity, that don't require a lot of time and effort). I have no problem with a monthly cap, but for people who have an issue with the fact that second-year guys are as good as fifth-year guys, that's the way it should be.

If a second-year guy wants to put in the work to get that good, cool. If not, he can still have a good player.

I think right now the level of fun is high in this league because it's neither hardcore nor soft. It's challenging in that you usually have to work pretty hard if you want an elite player, and you have to be fairly active if you want people to notice you. But it's not so hard that you have to spend three hours a day on here to have a good player.

I believe this is the best balance we've ever had and a lot of people are enjoying it.

Yeahthat

Honestly, from someone who is a super active member on the VHL the only thing that needs to change is graphics to money. I come on here because I rarely have to do writing PT's to get TPE & the ability to claim TPE for Pick 'Ems every week makes my player experience more fun.

I couldn't handle the stress/workload of having another VHL type league, it's tough getting in a PT every week there as it is. Here, because of the ability to get points in a lot of situations, I can stay active pretty easily and still make a good player.
