Here's the thing that people are overlooking.

We want rookies to be good. We want them to be able to compete with the rest of the league. There's no reason someone in their second year shouldn't be able to have as good a season as someone in their fifth year. That's the way real hockey works too.

The difference between this and a true point task league is that you start out with a solid points base here, first of all. And second of all, you don't have to spend a lot of time earning points to be a good player.

You can do simple tasks like predictions tasks, like the weekly football one, like Twitter, etc., plus spend your contract money, and put out a real good player without spending hours on end here.

That's what we want by non-PT. It's never been about not having point tasks, I have no problem having point tasks that allow people to get better.

I want this to be a league where anyone can have fun and anyone can have success and enjoy it even if they only spend an hour a week sometimes here, or 10 minutes a day. And I think that's exactly what we have.

If anything, I argue we need more tasks like the football one (basic point giveaways for activity, that don't require a lot of time and effort). I have no problem with a monthly cap, but for people who have an issue with the fact that second-year guys are as good as fifth-year guys, that's the way it should be.

If a second-year guy wants to put in the work to get that good, cool. If not, he can still have a good player.

No, Krever. No. Players are becoming too good too quickly. For actives to be passed by first year guys who whore out on points and money, is not good. Rookies can be good to begin with, but fuck no they shouldn't be borderline superstars the second they walk into the league.

Graphics is the main thing that needs to be change imo There is no writing task that pays TPE so it shouldn't be TPE for graphics, pay cash. Then if you want to slow people progression down otherwise put a TPE cap per week then people can bank the TPE week to week.....they don't loose the points but add them on slower imo tbh

Yea, once in a decade. It happens every year here. Players are becoming far too good, far too fast. It's an epidemic in the league really.

I mean, just look at Deezy's post where he said there's no point in recreating anymore and being so far behind. We are losing replay value and for everything, it only lasts as long as you continue to get enjoyment out of it and if you lose enjoyment with your player and want to start over but suck balls due to everybody else being so good, it loses replay value rapidly. Either we need to change everything to money or we need to put a cap on careers.

not everyone can do graphics or guess football and soccer because they dont watch them and the graphics take skill and time for full tpe so no you really dont were seeing huge gaps because you can earn in 5 weeks a season (regular) and 3 weeks playoffs you can earn using the NFL,Graphics,Twitter about 50 uncapped TPE untill i was a 4th year player i didnt have these benifits. You came into the league not knowing how hard and how much work you actually had to put into the league. you came in with huge media payouts and PBP plus extra TPE

But is that really our fault?

I enjoy these other TPE's like the football and soccer, just cause they're something different. Graphics are fun... maybe we should do money for those.

And also, the media payouts are good because in order to earn the real good money you actually have to put a decent amount of time into it. PbP incentives and payout I like just because they're a ton of work to do and it actually entices more people to do them in hopes of getting something good.

You want to have a TPE cap because rookies are getting good too fast, but don't want to start over because you'll suck balls?....Wait two seasons and apparently you'll be just as good as everyone else!

It doesn't take a player 5 years in the NHL to get good. The good prospects get good, the bad ones don't. I don't see a problem.

I enjoy the graphics PT because I like improving myself and earning myself points for making sigs. I have just as much ability as everyone else. Anyone can get photoshop and anyone can get good if they practice in their free time.

But if you wanna make an adjustment, either make it two weeks PT so you cant get points every week, or make it money every week.

And like a lot of people said, prospects step into the NHL and ARE GOOD! Look at guys like RNH and Landeskog. They weren't considered Sidney Crosbys but they still did pretty damn well and put up good points, better than a lot of 5th and 6th year players... Why should it be any different? This is a simulated hockey league and I like it for its realism.

Not if the guys like Brovalchuk never retire and keep going and wind up with like 2,000 tpe.
