Doesn't help that both times his stated reasoning was the branding of the teams and not the talking down to Nevada which is much more reasonable.

Just here to spread some knowledge on how much rights/leverage you have : yes you are able to reject a contract and therefore get signed by your SMJHL team but TBB holds your rights for 3 seasons unless they trade em which is what I call the Jimmy Vesey route.
You could also sign a 1season or 2 season long contract and cost TBB some cap and be a RFA once the contract ends. Or sign 2 1 season deals and are a UFA IIRC which should be the fastest route to UFA or ask TBB to trade your rights.

I'm aware the players I've tagged aren't on Tampa. I tagged the people who were piling on the guy for having a preference.
Jumping on a guy's media post to rag on him for what ultimately comes down to Tampa not doing their due diligence in checking
in to see if he even wanted to be drafted there is not the play, coach.

we took wawazat with a flyer at 60 because we didnt want him to go undrafted as a lot of teams had already passed. i have reached out to him asking him to give me a list of teams he would like to be a part of so i can do my best to move his rights to one of those teams.

edit: this really isn't a big deal, dude doesn't wanna play for us and that's cool, i'm glad he's communicating his needs to us one way or another.

How about we take a step back and focus on the root of the problem as opposed to the result?

Wawazat seems like a good dude but he just creates drama all the time. When his previous player was on the crows he was mad about ice time while being in the top six. Its within his right to ask for a trade or not sign or whatever and he can take some chirps for it

From the outside it just looks like people are piling on to him because of Tampa drama.

I think a couple guys just see it as a pattern at this point, he did the same thing the last time he was drafted too.
