We aren't seeing nearly enough PbPs.

In the SHL they have uncapped point incentive...But people are straying away from uncapped points. I am guessing there is no 'incentive' to do jr pbps? As it stands, I'd rather do a SHL play by play for the chance to get 2+ uncapped points.

I believe a single pbp payment is 250,000... which for the amount of work they can take just doesn't seem to be enough especially when media articles have the ability to pay a bigger chunk of change compared to these using the new grading scale

And with the pbps can be longer in word count then the example (posted above) it kinda doesn't make a lot of sense in the terms of value of payment to time spent on pbp.

Thats my opinion on this matter.

. Working with $ i think is even better than give uncapped PT`s.

. Or just increase the pay in general, maybe even double it.

the uncapped point incentive could be a good idea

to avoid people doing multiple pbp's in both leagues we can have say a rule: you can do a PbP for any league but you can only get incentive for your league

ex. if im in the junys and week 5 i do 6 SHL pbp's and 1 NWJHL pbp my name is only put in the draw once but if i did 6 NWJHL pbp's and only 1 SHL then my name goes 6 times

just to prevent people from doing multiple pbp's and then earning a ridiculous amount of uncapped TPE

We need to remove the amount of uncapped TPE so I'm not really liking the idea. Not to mention, barely anyone does SHL PbPs...

PbPs in general are stupid at the moment. All that work for such little pay. This is why I only do media. Tongue

Really should only be money for Juniors, but it definitely needs to be more money, they take SO LONG and a ton of work to do.

We've already lowered the Media payments. We just need to raise the payments for PbP so there is more incentive and reward. They should be the primary source of income for Juniors IMO, but right now most have never done a single one because its not worth the time and effort.

What Tez and I have discussed is:

350K per PBP as a base
Then a scale of 0-3
0 - just terrible, no bonus
1 - okay, 50K bonus
2 - good, 100K bonus (most will be this)
3, exceptional, 150K bonus

its better but it still doesn't solve the problem of a lot juniors(me incl.) heading over to do SHL pbp's because of the chance of earning TPE..........this is a very good start though i think a lot more people will start doing PBPs because of the new pay range
